Bisoprolol (Concor, Merck)
Synonyms: Zebeta, Ziac
Bisoprolol is a beta adrenergic blocker used for the treatment of stable chronic moderate to severe heart failure with reduced ventricular function.
Indications:
Bisoprolol is indicated in the management of hypertension. It may be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive agents.
How to take:
It comes in a tablet form to be swallowed whole. Do not chew or crush. For more detailed information please see label and please consult specialist. Do not take more Bisoprolol than it is indicated at the label without consulting your doctor.
Precautions:
Use with caution during lactation. Safety and efficacy have not been determined in children. It may be used with caution for patients with bronchospastic disease who do not respond to or who cannot tolerate other antihypertensive therapy.
